I should be able to make it along.
I’ll be bringing Jess, she’s mad about Hauke! :D
702447233ParticipantBMParticipantSo, the trip is set for the weekend of 27/28 March.
I wont be able to make it, but I’ll arrange accommodation and meeting times.
Anybody who wants accommodation, please send me a PM (no later than Sunday evening), I’ll finalise numbers with the hostel (Monday morning) and arrange to collect and forward payment.

Staying fri + sat
Fair play for sorting this out even though you cant make it now
as Mark says I am looking forward to a few pints in the new GAA club
I wonder did they bring the sugar bowl from the old place…………..MarkKeymasterBMParticipantI have booked accommodation at the hostel for the following for Friday 26th and Saturday 27th:
Cathal
Mark
PixelleThese are the only ones who confirmed.
There is a separate group of 13 staying that weekend but there are 16 beds (now down to 13) still available. If anybody else decides to go and stay over, the hostel details are here.
Perhaps you should plan to meet at the hostel at 9:30 or Carrick Little car park at 10:00 on the Saturday. Any thoughts/comments on this?
BMParticipantForgot to mention – the hostel staff can’t do dinner and have offered to arrange for dinner at the local golf club (2 miles away).
Any takers?
BMParticipantAccommodation costs:
£17 per person per night
£8 cooked breakfast
£4.50 continental breakfastMartinParticipantBM wrote:

Martin you know the place pretty well so perhaps you can come up with a few ideas
We can meet at the hostel and leave from there if that suits.
Agree we have gone up the carrick little route twice now and perhaps a different spot would be goodCathal
MarkKeymasterAye a different spot would be good.
Cathal, can you kidnap PTB on the way down ? :). Also is Mr Arrow able to make the trip ?
MartinParticipantOk so i’ll have a think about photo walks we could do. We can decide on Saturday morning between who ever turns up…
Some of my favorite easy enough walks for taking pics are as follows:
– Up along pigeon rock river to the windy gap (easy walk, lots of interesting scots pines and milky water shots)
– Walk to the top of Slievenaglogh from Trassey Car Park (stunning views on a nice day from the top)
– Walk to the top of Slievenaglogh (a different one) from the game keepers lodge (great views looking down on the reservoir)
– A walk up bloody bridge river (lots of milky water shots)
– Walk to the top of Slieve Loughshannagh from Ott mountain car park ( Super views over the Mournes)I could think of at least 30 more but dont know what peoples fitness levels are. We can decide on the Saturday morning
If anyone has any other ideas bring them along
