Pinhole images from the 120 WPC Holga

I liked Dave’s images https://photographyireland.net/viewtopic.php?t=25131on the 120 WPC Holga he recently posted so I invested in one, The large neg 6X12 is something I wanted to try, a cheap entry into the panoramic format. Here are a few taken in Carlow two weeks ago. It was early morning and the light on the river was not great and the negs are a little underexposed. Like the standard Holga good light is essential I think. I am not sure if i can cope with totally unsharp images, I will try again in better light. Film was Fuji Acros 100 rated at 50ASA, exposures approx 20 to 30 seconds, film developed in Rodinal.

I did modify the camera slightly to reduce the heavy dark vignetting by making the hole in the shutter slightly bigger.

I like the last one Eddie. Eerie feel to it.

I guess it’s not possible to get a sharp pinhole shot…there’s no lens right?

Still brilliant how it works though. Photography at just about it’s simplest. :D

    Very nice Eddie, very different…

The sharpness doesn’t bother me, I can see how it might not be everyones cup of tea though…

Do you have to use a different type of film for these?

Fuji Acros 100 and a tripod.

    Great set of pinhole images.

And the idea of making the hole slightly bigger is very good. I may try that myself.
