I wouldn’t exactly class this as ‘Landscape’ but it’s a view of the debris that covers the railway line in Waterford
& it will be a big task to remove it & trying to assure what’s behind them will stay in place!
Great capture John. I’d heard that on the news today and wondered how bad it was. They were saying today on the radio it should only be closed for one day, from your picture that’s hard to believe.
May we need a news section to capture images like this, local, national and maybe international news occasionally.
I’m no expert Dave but I can only imagine how much more of the cliff face is ready to fall.
I would assume also that it will have to be structurally checked at great lengths as the rail line
runs along side of it for maybe a mile or thereabouts?
Good capture John. The whole “rock” is very brittle, so I rekon a lot of work will be involved in stripping / stepping it like what they had to do in Sallypark, especially if trains will be passing so close to it.
