Polaroid Camera Series (PX100FF)

    Photos shot using an SX-70 with The Impossible Project PX100 Silver Shade First Flush.

    (Technically the SX-70 is not low fidelity but I think in this case the film is.)

    They’re really nice, good series-
    you could make your own (expensive) set of Polaroid Top Trumps like that-

    So, is the film lower resolution as well as low contrast?
    How does it enlarge?

    I resisted the urge to buy some recently.
    All the glowing reviews I’ve read were from people trying pre-production freebies;
    it’s always better to get the views of someone more independent…

    They look nice, I like the colour this film produces. Initial reactions I have read on various forums regarding this film were poor indeed but I have also seen some really nice results so maybe experience is required, but I don’t know as I’m not a polaroid user.

    Love this film Dave, cant wait to try it. I still have some time-zero left though….

    Lovely stuff. I love the ‘roids…. [currently converting an old Polaroid 110 to new pack- and sheet film]
    Anyway, for those lazy Polaroid wannabees (read: emulators) out there,
    here is some software to give your pics that Polaroid feel (well, sort of):

    The film I used was the “first flush” edition which had it’s flaws. According to the TIP website (http://shop.the-impossible-project.com/news?date=2010-05-20) some of those flaws have been fixed in the new edition.

    Sounds as if the sensitivity to temperature & light sensitivity after shooting is still a problem though.

    I think I will wait a little longer before dipping my toes into the PX100 again to see if the film becomes more stable. I still a a few boxes of “FF” left anyway.
