Happened across this today as walked to spot where I thought there was another photo!

The person ‘featured’ was an unsuccessful candidate in the recent European Parliament elections. Hence my corny title!

Absolutely! It’s so annoying the way these things are left up for so long.

Thanks to miki g and Sinead for the comments.
To be fair to the particular candidate, she made a point during the campaign of re-using many of her posters from the previous election. Also there were high winds around the days of the campaign (as opposed to hot air!!) and I know some posters got blown from poles into places where they couldn’t easily be recovered from.
(However, on a side note – most of the ugly cable ties that they hang up the posters with are still in evidence around the country!)

So back to the photography …

I noticed a few metal poles the other day that actually started out as wooden ones, but there are so many tacks, nails and screws in them now, it’s hard to find some wood.
