the pop up flash on my old 350d has been getting a bit
sticky lately. not opening as quick as it normaly would and
sometimes sticking completly resulting in me having to press the
button an assiting it manualy. anyone have any issues with this
would a tiny drop of wd40 sort it or is that too dodgy to put near the camera.
I’ve never used my pop-up flash so I’ve no idea why this might be happening. I think drop of WD-40 should be OK though. Just don’t spray the WD-40 into or on to the camera. Spray it into a little dish or something, then get a match or a toothpick and dip it into the WD-40 and then place it against whatever it is you want to try and lubricate. STANDARD DISCLAIMER  Don’t blame me if this kills your camera! It shouldn’t, but I’m not going to take the blame if it does
One thing to note is that WD 40 is not a lubricant. The WD stands for “Water Dispersant” which is what it is.
It would probably be better to use a silicone spray lubricant
