Hello, my first posting, used a softbox at approx 45 degrees at camera left, struggled with the hair line, any feedback welcome….thank you

If you are looking for people to seriously critique your work you’ll need to post a larger image.
800px on the longest side should suffice.

A different quirky shot if you don’t mind me saying but I like it.
I think though I would convert the image to B&W & I might also darken down the background shadow.

I like it. The only problem I have is that the eyes (or face in general) aren’t exactly sharp as I’d like them to be.

Its a great image. Very strong and eyecatching. Maybe leave a bit more distance between her shoulder and the shadow. I agree with John17. Would like to see a mono version as the only real colour in the image is her hair. Post up a mono conversion.

I for one like the strong shadow as her makeup is very strong and contrasty and the harsh shadow balances the image very well. I don’t think a softer shadow would improve the image.

Welcome to the site. You will learn a lot here as I did and continue to.
