    looking for some good tips my friend who has health issues wants some portraits taken my problem is that he is on a lot of medecine and his face has become very bloated looking for some advice on methods of producing some more flattering results let’s say

    Guess you will have to play around with lighting and angles, but if he is looking for shots
    to be done then he is aware of how he looks and thats a part of him, so dont get too hung
    up on “making him look better” but work on getting him relaxed and comfortable in front of
    the camera, so that his character shows through.

    just did a quick Google for posing tips and came across this

    http://stnphotography.com/tips.html#people” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false; – its not great but I know there is advice “out there” on the best way to pose people for different face shapes. I have a round face and big nose so the best way for me to pose is behind the camera :-)

    I would agree with shutterbug concentrate on making the experience fun.

    I have also found that B&W is more flattering of people too. My skin can get a bit blotchy and red so I hate colour photos of myself. With B&W you don’t see this so skin tends to look good….especially for us sun starved Irish !!!
