I looked at the other ones as well,
I’d have to choose no 3 here as a favoutite-
There’s a Turner quality to the sky that sets it apart from the others, for me-
I had a look for the exif,
but its not there-
Its quite a square format,
I presume these weren’t cropped very much?
Lovely set altogether,
big skies, big light, what more could you want?
As jb7 already said, a lovely set altogether. I also looked
at the first lot, and my personal favourite would have to
be number one. Lovely light in all of them though.
Nice work Brian…
No. 3 for me too. However, just a thought (I’m no expert, barely an amateur) but I think that on the second pic if you cropped and/or edited the red clouds out, that it’d make a very nice photo. I dunno, I just think the silhouette would contrast with that beautiful sunset.
thanx for the feedback guys (both here and on Firey Sky 1). I’m taken aback I really am. It’s responses like this that give you great motivation and make it worthwhile.
jb7 – they were only slightly cropped, mainly to remove vignetting from the filter mount. There’s no exif details as the hosting site only allow up to 200kb images, hence they’ve been compressed from 8Meg to about 120-150kbs. But I shot them in JPG and RAW, converted the RAW by cooling the White Balance/Colour Temperture as they were very red/orange.
Phil – I may well try that crop. I probably won’t get chance until Thursday, but cheers for the feedback
