These are brilliant. I like your candid style. I’m merely a noob, but from what I’ve heard through my own research, it’s a portfolio over qualification that is more important in this game. I questioned whether I’d return to college for it and have resigned to just getting out there and getting experience. Think that’s what makes you capable of a job anyway. Getting the chance to work with a seasoned professional is priceless. I’ve had the privilege and hope to continue to do second shooting for a while. Your pictures are fantastic anyway. Great quality! Best of luck.
Thank you so much Deirdre :) That’s certainly put a great big grin on my face. I’m starting to come to the same conclusion actually. I think I’ll just keep working away at it and hopefully get my LRPS qualification soon. I’m not absolutely new to photography and have learnt a lot over the last couple of years just by reading, practising and learning from my mistakes… I also know a few photographers who just went out there and got on with it and like I’ve said before it all really boils down to having the confidence in your own ability/ self-belief. I’ve certainly had plenty of good feedback from family, friends, aquaintances and forum members on various sites I’ve been visiting… maybe it’s time to start believing in myself!!!
Thanks so much again for saying such nice things about my photography… I’m off now to have a look at your website ;)
