Position Wanted – Studio Manager – Dublin
-
FrankieParticipant
Hi one and all!
I am sure you have seen me floating about in the fashion/people sections as a model but now I want to change my 9-5 job to get more involved with the industry. Ideally I would be wanting a position as/similar to a Studio Manager, dealing with enquires, bookings, sales, meeting and greeting clients, general admin work, bit of accounting etc. I have reasonable knowledge in all the above areas but my main selling point is my customer care and admin work.
I am keeping this brief but if you are looking for somone along these lines or know of someone who may be then please respond either through here or privately.
Many thanks
Frankie
Brian_CParticipantFrankieParticipantReal helpful Brian
I am using my initiative and contacting people in the industry as well as that. Trying to limit the amount of people I annoy with calls, CVs and bell ringing :)
Brian_CParticipantFrankieParticipantHey Brian I know it may be English SOH (or lack of) but I was joking, just to make sure you know. but thanks for your in put.
KPMParticipantFrankie,
as far as I know Mark Nixon / The Portrait Studio is looking for staff which might be along the lines of what you are looking for.
Drop a line to infotheportraitstudio.ie and they should be able to give you details, and let you know if any vacancies still exist.
Richie Gavin is also looking for someone with wedding / portrait experience. Email richardgavineircom.net.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Kevin
GCPParticipantDid not meet you on the modeling scene in the past, but you could try sending a CV with references from photographers you have worked with to all the studios you can think of. I do know one model I have worked with in the past would make an absolute fantastic studio manager.
All of the studios throughout the country will know each other (there are less than 500 good ones). So if you have a good reputation with any of them in the past and always turned up on time for shoots and did not mess them about, you will not find it hard to get the job your looking for.

Not that any potential employer would be allowed to be influenced by your gender.
Good luck in your quest.
FrankieParticipantHey Pete
Thanks for that, but I disagree with you – I still think females are more likely to get certain customer care jobs over men, like men would be more likely to be hired for manual jobs over women – but that is neither here nor there!! And I am not a feminist!! See I have long hair and no facial piercings ha ha (to all feminists that is a joke )
