    Hi guys

I own a blog called freshfix.net. Now when i upload the photos to wordpress and post them they dont seem as sharp as they do on the screen before I upload them to wordpress. They go very soft.

    What would you guys suggest?

    thanks

Presming that you’re using photoshop or elements, have you ticked “Bicubic Sharper” when resizing them for internet usage? That may help a little. Maybe someone will have a more technical explanantion or solution for you if this doesn’t help you though.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I will change it to that. I also zoomed out of the site a tiny bit and the images looks alot sharper

I discovered a way to make the images look sharper by accident. If I uploaded an image, say 1024 pixels in length, when I posted the link on the blog, I used the link to the next size, say 800 pixels. It turns out they look better. That’s from Flickr. When I used links from my picassa albums, the images looked dead and soft no matter the size I linked to. I guess it’s how the host server works.

So the idea is to choose to show a smaller image than the one you are uploading. This makes the image sharper, by accident, as I said :)
