    Hi
I was contacted to do retouching of wedding photos(about 40) . I didn’t took those pictures and I do not have any idea what I should charge for them.
Is 15 euro per picture fair?

id give them a total/estimated price IMO (10-15 pics will be x, every ten after that will be y etc, not per pic, going €15 per picture for retouching 40 of them woks out at €600

how much do you charge to do a wedding? and how much would you charge that couple – that should reflect what you charge here IMO

also would you be happy having someone else altering your work? have you suggested they go back to the photographer first to see if he can do it? – maybe he doesnt do post processing, which is fair enough (but should have come part of the wedding package IMO if they wanted any extras processed then they go back to the original photographer IMO)

Photo retouching can be charged at an hourly rate, rather than a charge per image, €50 per hour for the first hour and €40 for each additional hour assuming its basic retouching I would consider fair. You might also be able generate some additional business by selling them a photo book or album and some nice prints from the completed work. Remember this couple may come back to you for other photographic services if you give them a good product and value. Photolabs in Lennox St Dublin offer this type service to customers.

    Thanks for answers.
Mick-skyline, you are right,,,,,,, I think 600 is way too much for 40 pics.
The couple got married abroad this is why they are looking for someone locally.
IMO the photographer should always post-process photos to bring out the best in the image.
