Looking for recommendations on the best printer for making digital negatives (I use Pictorico OHP film). Negatives are then contact printed (some trad. darkroom, but also experimenting with alt processes – platinum/palladium, van dyke brown, and so on.)
Would probably use the same printer for colour printing, too – but don’t need to go bigger than 11 x 17.
On a budget, of course!
I had an Epson 1280 and I loved it (… but if I ignored it for more than a few weeks it tended to clog. Ugh.)
Had to leave behind when I moved.
Hi, The Epson 1800 and 1400 are both A3+ and really good, the 1400 has just replaced the 1290s. You should not have problems with blocked jets if you stick to Genuine Epson inks. The PermaJet OHP film is especially good for Digital negatives.
