Printing HELP

hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone could help me.
I took a picture and cropped it to 8×10 and saved it. Then i went back to original image and cropped it again to 5×7 and saved it.
then i went to the printers and one picture came out way brighter than the other. does not seem to be any difference on screen.
both images are 72dpi.
Why did this happen???
you want your image at 300 ppi but I’m sure Steve will be along to tell you the best settings for printing
we have already had a conversation
but
the issue sounds like a profile thing, or the 2 sizes were printed on 2 diff machines that are not accurate to each other
