Can’t help you much on this one. I had to run off 10 6*4 prints for a local club (goodness of my heart jobbie :D ) but when I saw the result I was horrified. The greens were printed blue and the quality was very poor. I ended up printing them myself at home and got much better results. This was the one and only time I used a kiosk. Perhaps other members have had better experiences ??
If your not stuck for time you should try http://www.photobox.ie. I gave them a go after a few recommendations on this forum and was very pleased with the results. As cheap as the kiosks, the only difference is the couple of days wait.

I’ve used the Fuji ones a couple of time…and I found that they do tend to “lose” bits of the picture. I don’t know whether it has to do with the way the picture is cropped in your editing program beforehand? I know I tended to use freehand crop..so my shots where probably not in the correct proportions or something. Quality wise they were okay…didn’t notice any major problems anyway. Funnily enough the last time I was getting a couple printed their was a girl there who uses them all the time and she said that the Kodak ones were better quality…at least colourwise..than the Fuji. I’m going to try Photobox next time if I donlt print myself.

The cropping that you experienced is by design. The reason for it and what you can do about it, is explained in the last quarter of the page at http://www.drycreekphoto.com/icc/using_printer_profiles.htm – just look for the section starting with “Print Cropping/Suggested Fuji Frontier and Noritsu print sizes”

Yep. What it clarified for me was that I wont bother using those Kiosks in the future

Personally I have never had a problem with http://www.Dlab7.com in Guernsey who are another online print service. You just have a couple days wait until the prints are returned. Also because they are in the Channel Islands, there is no VAT payable.

Just remember to submitt your images in Adobe compliance RGB colourspace mode for printing (if you haven’t set color space it’s probably in RGB by default)
