Problem film developing – marks on neg

Hopefully one of you will have an answer for me :)

Was scanning in a roll of Acros 120 from the Mourne weekend (nothing worthy I’m afraid) when I
noticed marked down the left hand side of the all the negs, see below (straight scan).
Looks like a development issue as opposed to a camera one, as I just noticed it on a roll from the Yashica also.

Some of the marks on other frames are more pronouced and some more ‘blob’ like markings.
    Looks like chemicals to me.

By the way afaik I’m processing the same as I always too in terms of agitation, knocking bubbles out
and amount of liquid used in the drum..

    Any ideas ?

It looks like there wasn’t enough developer-
though, if your tank wasn’t full of reels, the top one might have slipped during agitation-
always good to lock the top reel, or complete the spindle with an empty one-

    Thanks Joseph, thats great.

I’ll definitely use 2 spindles going forward, good idea!. Will double-check the amount of developer I’m using also.

    Thanks again.

Development is fine here, the problem is fixing. Not enough agitation or fixer was to weak. Put it back into the fixer and you will get rid of those marks.
