Problem with teeth

would anyone be able to give me some advice in how to whiten teeth on any of the photoshop programs I have given it a couple of hours online and I still havent stumbled across it any help would be great.
The method I use is probably not the best, but it’s pretty fast. I duplicate the layer and mask it to work only on the mouth. Then I use the Image – Adjustments – Hue, Saturation, select the yellows in the drop down menu and pick the colour with the colour picker from the teeth, then decrease the saturation…
dodge to whiten can be a quick solution, depending on the photo. i have a very good book “Complete Photoshop CS3 for Digital Photographers” by Colin Smith/Tim Cooper suggests the same method as randomway, only using magic wand for selection.
Dodge the midtones setting your brush to 15% strength.
Then use the sponge tool to desaturate them a little too…If they are really bad you can always quick mask then and your your levels to take out the yellow etc…
The sponge tool works pretty well though.
