problems with wireless trigger and sb400

I have just purchased 3 cactus v5 wireless tiggers. They work great with my sb600 bit they will not fire my sb400 i have tried everything but still no luck. Have i to upgrade my sb400? Or has anybody got any ideas. I will be upgrading sb400 but i have other gear on my list first

Charley, unfortunately the SB400 is incompatible with cactus triggers.

Thanks jenny. I guess i will have to start looking for a newer flash
