Here are a few photos I took yesterday, first event with the new lens. Weather was terrible, and had to just find a hole in the fence and get a few photos from there. Let me know what you think of them and the cars. They were taken with a sigma 70-200mm f2.8 with a 2x tele on a nikon d50. There are all at 400mm ,1/80s, f8-10 with camera and lens well covered from the heavy rain.
The weather wasn’t deffinitely on your side, you can see clearly the light was bad… I like them they seem sharp enough, although a few could probably use a bit more saturation on some colors to make up for the bad weather. It is very hard to analize details as the pictures are quite small.
The sigma seems great. With the tele it looks slighly better than my other lens a sigma 28-300mm, a bit sharper and faster. Without the tele it is very sharp and fast to focus. Was using it at the West Cork Rally with a bit better light and was very good.
Just to show how bad the weather was. A little out of focus.
As to the drift, they are as good as anyone could hope for when you find a hole in a fence and rain is belting down! you really went up a gear on the other post!
