(*PSD) to jpeg

Hi all. I have downloaded shapecollage and program which automatically montages large numbers of photos which can be saved as jpegs. But it also gives the option of saving the final collaged image as a Photoshop *(PSD) file which allows you to re-arrange the images yourself.

I want to print this image, so i have been changing the (PSD) file after flattening it, back to a jpeg, but when i try to open it in windows photo gallery it say the file appears to be damaged or corrupt. what am i doing wrong? should i be saving the final re-arranged (*PSD) file as something else.

Not sure whats happening, but why are you flattening the image before saving as a jpg file ?

    Hi Iris.
Sometimes when you change a file extension ie PSD to Jpeg the file conversion causes problems. I found this happens more often if you are saving the converted file to the same location. Try save the re-arranged file to a different drive using the “save as” option (also try re-naming it). Also, Windows photo viewer may be the problem. Try opening the file in a different viewer.
