pumpkins or turnips…?

Yes, I know halloween is all over now, but here’s a couple of pics to illustrate the debate if turnips (traditional Irish) or pumpkins (an idea imported from America) make better Jack o’ Lanterns.

I’m definitely in the turnip camp, but I think one could do better with the turnip than the simple cutting shown.
