Purchasing CS5 in Ireland
-
gsParticipant
I currently have photoshop CS3 & want to upgrade to CS5 but am having difficulty finding where to obtain it.
I want to get the disc as in the event of having to re-install for whatever reason I will be able to do so easily myself.
Apple store will only upgrade from CS4 even though adobe have stated that owners of CS3 are entitled to the upgrade .
Nice one Apple, will remember that when I need new equipment !!
Any ideas where this can be obtained securly online ?

MikeLParticipantYou could still download it from Adobe website store and then burn the downloaded file to a DVD so you’d have a “hardcopy”, so to speak.
iophotoworksParticipantI buy all my Adobe software directly from their store. Just set up an account there and you’re off. You can choose to download or have the box shipped to you. Like you I prefer to have the boxed copy.
I ordered Photoshop CS5 from their store a few days ago and had it within 2 days (delivered by UPS). They have free shipping until the end of the month. It cost €199 plus VAT and because it is shipped from the UK if you are VAT registered in Ireland you can get out of paying it at order time (just self-account for it later). This doesn’t apply to downloads as one of their servers is in Ireland so VAT is always applied.
One advantage of using the Adobe store is that all your previous licenses and serial numbers are stored in your account so won’t lose them. It’s makes future upgrades and platform switches very easy.
Local suppliers are great too, offer great support and often have boxed copies in stock for instant gratification :-)
BarkerPhotographicParticipant€249 (€205.79 Ex VAT) from us for the boxed upgrade (from CS2,CS3 or CS4). Available from stock.
