That’s a lovely shot, Ali, terrific range of subtle tones and the lighting is cool.
Two small niggles you can ignore:
1/ the crop through her ear
2/ the right border is too close to her nose for my liking (purely subjective, I know), I’d like to see some more space on the right for her to face into and possibly bring the curve of her shoulder into the frame.SteveDParticipantNice B&W conversion Ali. Love the facial expression, angle etc.
The only thing I’m not sure about is the heart earring – I can’t decide if it distracts me or adds to the image.
RobMemberGorgeous shot Ali. Would love to see it though with the crop Mick suggests. Perhaps one other suggestion would be a tiny bit of photoshopping to make the line separating the left eyelid and the bridge of the nose just a fraction more definite. But beautiful shot anyway. Love it. 8)
ThorstenMemberI love it! Great shot. Sure, it’s got imperfections, but they are so small as to be insignificant.
AliParticipantgeraldParticipanti can live with it as it is as abeauty come fashion shot , the ear is probably the only thing that might improve the perspective but i dont think it neccessary and would be sure that a picture editor for a magazine would make many uses of this image… is the model a hairdresser?
AliParticipantThanks a mil Gerald. Hmm, i’m not sure what she is other than a model. :)

I like the image, particularly the lips, although I might have preferred the eye to be open too.RobertoMemberAliParticipantThanks all :) i really like this myself. At the rate i’m going my house will be full of pictures of women :).

Sorry Brandyman I think the closed eyes really make the picture IMHO but each to their own. Ali a great picture

Any chance you’d rent out the spare room then?
For the record, I preferred the blood red heart version :D
AnonymousParticipantYet again Ali you are setting the standard for excellence, all of the girls you use have the most amazing skin (or is it tweaked ?) anyways alabaster skin tones are few and far..The rest of us should really post some work as i think you are the most consistent photographer to post images..by far!
Great job Ali..

I’m with him on this one. Thought it made it really striking. I love this shot, but you already know that :D Bring back the red I say
Keep up the good work
