Purple Flowers – Zoneplate

Had a bit of time for experimenting today. Interested in opinions on this one as it’s somewhat of a diversion for me.

D80 and Zoneplate. Handheld at 1/2″ as I figured putting it on a tripod wasn’t going to make it sharp anyway and hand holding allowed to to fire off a few at different angles. You can barely see through the Zoneplate as its effectively f57 so it’s pretty hit and miss :)

Very impressionistic (that is a word I think :) ).
Nice colours, works well.

Will be good to see some more from it.

I got a zone plate lens recently but was unhappy with the results. After seeing this I think I’ll have another go.
I like it. I guess getting the subject and lighting right is important.

Cheers Martin. It is pretty hit and miss to be honest as to what works!
