Pushing Colour Film?

Thanks again all for replies, all interesting stuff.

I don’t have any darkroom access now until September, which got me thinking about colour,
    and trying some different things.

I really like the look of Alan’s X-Pro posted in the LoFi section, I might have to have a go at that too.

Joseph – I do like a bit of grain, not sure about muddy negs though. Worth a try though, I suppose.

I’ve also just received a PM from someone, very kindly offering to send me some out of date film.
    Which is nice…

I’ve heard someone else say something about Ilford XP2 (C41 colour process) that it can be rated at any ISO?

xp2 is a lovely film. Makes 35mm look almost like medium format with it’s smooth tonaity and non-existant grain. I’ve found it best exposed at around 200 and developed normally. Any higher and you start to lose shadows and the grain (dye clouds really) isn’t nice in the same way a traditional bw film is.
