Query on the Pro/550 Grip type Flashgun

Pro/550 Grip Type Thyristor Computer Flashgun.
I was browsing in the charity shops today and found the above. It cost me E5.
It doesnt appear to even being taken from its wrapping and i am wondering could you tell me something about it.
I have been meaning to get a flashgun but way behind all this stuff at present as downsized in camera etc.
