Question about photo policy for underage matches?

    Hi all,
Just a quick question about taking pictures at underage sports matches. Would I be aloud to upload my pictures on to my Facebook page so as to be available to purchase or could this be seen as to invade on the childrens privacy.
    Thanks Michael O M

Children have no more privacy than adults.

Most associations have guidelines for photography.

If you’re talking about field sports, then you should have no issues, once you have permission to shoot the game in the first place.

I’ve covered many underage events and have never had an issue.

I shoot some pics for the local GAA team,

I wasn’t sure what the laws were, club policy is it is ok to post pics of the games, not allowed name the kids, think this came down from Croke Park.

As Paul said…”Once you have permission in the first place”….you really need to ask at under-age matches
as parents can be very weary of photographers turning up out of the blue.

    Noel.
