I seen this done a long time back… and always had it in the back of my mind to give it a try.

*** Ignore the colours *** Admitedly this is just a 5 minute tester that I done last night before retiring to the bed and something has got lost in translation as the plate was white when I finished editing it last night and in general the image was brighter and more vibrant… but not to worry, I’ll get it right when I have the time.

    John I know the concept . . .

I really like it, great idea, nicely executed.

But I think it is a bit cluttered.

I would have prefered possibly just the men digging sign, a couple of bollards
and a few of the lads digging and picking at one spot.

    Only my twist as usual.

Great job John, nice to see something different.

    Thanks for the feedback Alan.

You are right… the composition needs to be refined. The first thing I did when I got in bed last night was to review some similar images as I knew this was too busy, plus depth of field and focal length on my 60mm macro were an issue.

As mentioned it was just a tester for the sake of opening the figures and having a closer look. Will give it some more thought when I have more time.

    Cheers

    Would agree about the composition-

While you’re thinking about it, have a look at this-

Does the video play.. seems to do now’t for me?

Soldiers would certainly be interesting… ah… I feel another eBay search.

I like it and have not seen it done before. The man on the right, with his foot resting on the bean, gives the models a sense of real “beings” to me. Really fun picture.
