Hi guys havent posted here in a long time :-(. I took these last on the Clare coast there was the most intense rainbow in the sky and it hung around for well over an hour I had never seen that before normally they come and go in a matter of minutes but it proved a perfectdistraction whilt I waited for the sun to set :-). Comments welcome guys

Two nice shots John, a couple of things that jump at me are both
are a little on the warm side for me, maybe that is the way it looked
but I cant help feeling there would be a bit more definition in them
if they weren’t so warm. Secondly is the yellow mark on the rock it
is a real eye puller and find myself looking at that more than the rest
    of the scene.

That said I do like them especially the second view, and the reflection of
the rainbow is nice. Just opinions of course, and good to see you posting
    again. :)

Both lovely images John. I’m preferring #1. Having read Jennys reply I’m wondering the same re; warm. Having said that if I hadn’t read it I wouldn’t say anything :?

Great shots! Can’t decide on which I’d prefer, both different but nice views. Think the second one is very warm, noticeably. Seems like a nice and clear rainbow, you were lucky indeed :)

Thanks so much for the Feedback and the constructive critisism. Jenny I agree with both points you made its amazing that when you take shots and process them you get wrapped up in them and sometimes cant see what it is glaringly obvious.

Taking on board the “warm” issue does this help I reduced the temp on the jpeg by -30 I fell myself it makes a drastic improvment

2 really nice images – well done

but imo the colour balance is still off but nice a some kind of way.

Yes I think it does improve them John, even the yellow rock doesnt seem
    to obvious now!

Yes second ones are much much better. The first remind me too much of some of the shots you occaisionally see where someone has used a 10 stop filter and it drains the image of vibrance like blotting paper.

Given that these shots are all about the rainbow it deserves the vibrrance and natural colouring

Better the second time around. Lovely shots.

Great improvement in both pictures with the temperature corrected, number 1 is my favourite.

I know what you mean about getting so wrapped up in an image that you don’t notice anything wrong with it…sometimes I deliberately leave my processing for a few days or look through some old photos after I’ve processed a batch of shots, I think it can help sometimes.

    Mark.
