As most probably know the world rally championship returned to our shores yet again this weekend. As usual, typical weather meant for unpleasant shooting!

Some great shots there Steve. Was out myself on Saturday and know how difficult it is to get good sharp shots of these guys. They just move so fast. Hope to post some shots here later.

Paul – it was an error 01 code i got…….not sure of the details but i think it was maybe a bit of dampness got between the mount. I havent tested it again properly but it SEEMS to be doing all the right things now that it’s dried out!

Class shots, Steve!

I went to the rally myself and I couldn’t get over how difficult the shooting conditions were, but I’m sure the drivers didn’t have it easy either! :)

At last, I was checking the sports section all weekend for some shots of the rally. Very nice Steve and Mike, I particularly like the third shot posted.

What stages did you get the jump shots at? We were up for the rally too but didn’t get any jumps!! :( Picture 5 looks like we were only standing a few feet away from you as we have a very similar shot from nearly the same angle!

jumps were on Stage 11, the first run through tempo! They would be better ran the other way but did the job!

Yea for photo 5 i was up near the next corner, standing up on the fence…..untill the camera lay down justa after Oiger went passed. That field was a mudbath!!!!

Were you up near the top end yourself?

We were late in walking into the stage due to the heat of the campfire and the burgers on the BBQ!!!
