Rathlin: East lighthouse sunrise
-
andy mcinroyParticipant
This is just one of a huge number of shots I took in the rapidly changing light.
Well worth the 6am rise and a cycle through the rain.
And for those who stayed in their bed. Nah nah nah nah nah.
PD_BARBSParticipantWell worth the 6am rise and a cycle through the rain.
KWBARBS probably doesn’t agree.
You must teach me how to do this as mine are all crap. Nice shot, it’s a shame we didn’t get a full blown sunrise, as it was a great location
andy mcinroyParticipantcathaldParticipantPD_BARBSParticipantWithout hijacking the thread, if we can all post our lighhouse shots here it would save alot of hassle and us boring the rest of the forum.
So if you do not object here is my effort, otherwise I can kill this post
rc53MemberV nice pix, chaps
what is the land in the distance Jura? Mull of Kintyre?andy mcinroyParticipantmcmartinParticipantreally nice shots Andy, to pitty you didnt have that blown sunrise… Is that your homeland? in the background…
andy mcinroyParticipantCheers Marcin, yes that is the Mull of Kintyre closest to us.
Behind you can see the Ayrshire coast where I was born.
lousyParticipant#1 looks too blue for me Andy, however #3 with the light flashing works great, there’s a nice mix of colour in the water
and the whole scene blends together nicely.Pat
Imagery StudioParticipantgreat images, no 3 is again my favourite, have been tring to get to Rathlin for 2 years now and never made it yet, will have to make a greater effort early next year, its an increadable place.
The north and upper east coast of Ireland have some increadable landscapes, i just wish we had better weather.

keithParticipantsorry man i wasnt concentrating when i posted it so meant to start a new thread!
andy mcinroyParticipantAh, hang on a mo Keith,
You’re supposed to start a thread.
This is for Rathlin lighthouses. LOL
DeeboParticipantVery good shots. 3rd gets my vote for the starlight from the lighthouse and the boat giving the scale of the image.
