raw files from 1Ds mk3

Hi all, I’m currently getting to grips with my 1Ds mk3 and have encountered a problem.
I’m having difficulty opening the CR2 raw files once I’ve imported them to my mac (G4 ibook, 768kb ram). When I was importing from my 30d it was no problem. I was able to view them in Bridge (granted it takes ages to upload due to the speed of my computer) and then open them in Raw Task in photoshop. With the 1Ds mk3, I can view them in digital photo professional (canon bundled software) which doesn’t have the options that Raw task has but I’m not given that option with these files when I open them in Photoshop. Initally it says that photoshop doesn’t recognise the files, so I convert to either Tiff or Jpeg using the batch option in Digital photo professional. I can then open them in photoshop but I’ve totally bypassed the Raw task option in photoshop!
Can anyone tell me where I’m going wrong?

Raw files differ from camera to camera …
try downloading this plug-in from Adobe, should sort you out …
