RAW IMAGES and photoshop

Hey folks, im just wondering when i shoot wit my canon camera in RAW settings , the image is saved as a CR2 file..the problem is i cant do any adjustments in photoshop with this format unless i convert the file to jpeg in the canon DPP software program. Is there another way i prefer working in RAW for images?

which model of camera and which version of PS ?

Check the version of Camera Raw , the support for C60 is from 6.2 version

Or if still does not work, U can always convert to DNG format (that is raw file as well and i am sure the PS cs5 will open it :-) )

You just need the correct version of camera raw as Chris has posted. It’ll be fine after that :)

Hi – you may also need the Canon RAW codec for Win 7.

This will also let you view thumbnails in Explorer.

Cheers folks great suggestions it just saves me a lot of research, because im not a fan of touching up jpeg images….thanks a million
