I was lucky to get the little bickers and light like this last weekend.
any comments welcome!BrianParticipant5faytheParticipantHi Smilian,
I must agree withBrian re #1.
I think it is really good.
It’s not often (Speaking for myself here) that a subject so small
in a frame can look so impressive.I think it’s helped by the fact that the rest of the frame is so
uncluttered yet it is clear what it is.I can image a large print of this.
Yes I’d be happy if this were mine.
Cheers.
John.
SmilianMemberThanks for your comments Brian and John!
Yes my favorite is the one in mono too. :)miki gParticipantYeah, the mono works very well. Simple and uncluttered. Lovely lighting too
snaphappyMemberlove both shots but would work the rule of thirds the oposite way you did and had 1 third foreground and 2 thirds sky giving it that classic composition as it is I think there is too much space at the front that isnt pulling its weight. just my opinion though have a great christmas
bingbongbiddleyParticipantBoth of these photos are absolutely outstanding in my opinion.
There’s something unusual about the composition and I can’t quite figure out the perspective you took it from.
Really special looking images.
DeeboParticipantLovely images., first one wins hands down for me.
I would like to have taken this also.
Nice work
DeePixelleMemberI’d love to see what’s above this picture, to see how the light beams down from on high.
Or maybe it’s not the sun at all [cue:mothership-type music] :)
randomwayMemberAgree with all the above, two extraordinary photos… the first one is the better of the two.
SmilianMemberWow great response, Thank you all for your comments!
These were taken with my trusty 70-200 mm f 4
Pixelle I will post the uncroped version later but I am afraid the sky over the trees is quite burnt from the spacecraft above :)Alan RossiterParticipantI’d be in agreement with John (Snaphappy) re the foreground. I used the sliders on the page and I find that a crop just above the dark area of the foreground of the second image produces an interesting viewing.
In agreement with the rest on the images being quite attractive and intriguing.
