Re-Introduction

Hey guys.
Well, I’ve been here a while but I would in no way have referred to myself as a photographer. I was a snap happy fool who thought pretty pictures were all that made a good photo.
So, last September I started a course in St.Kevin’s College in Crumlin doing a level 5-6 PLC course in Photography. I went in thinking all I’d learn would be to use my camera and some photoshopping, but I was wrong, I’ve learned so much more. I stopped looking at photography as just a medium for recording landscapes and wildlife that I liked, and found the world had expanded a great deal for me. Thanks to 2 tutors in particular, my Theory tutor and my Film Photography tutor. They both taught me alot, about thinking about my shot before I take it, to why am I taking it and what do I want it to say. I’m blathering on I know but I cant praise them both enough.
Anyway, I’m finally ready to introduce myself as a photographer now. Its taken years and alot of mistakes and arguments and dumb dumb dumb questions but I think I’m getting there and I finally feel I’m on the road to be a real photographer.So, hi, my names Dave, I live in Meath and I used to love landscape and wildlife photography, now, I love, all but fashion :) I hope to produce a theme based piece of work in the next year or so and I’m planning (fingers crossed) to have an exhibition in May next year, somewhere in Dublin. Thats if I get the work done. With that in mind I’d hope you’d all come along to it whenever it happens :)
Anyway last note, my two tutors websites, just so you guys can see the ability of the people that are teaching a PLC course when they could be doing so much more, but the chose (mainly for financial reasons hehe) to help budding photographers become better.
