    Film : Kodak HIE Infrared B&W film ( 6 years out of date)
    Development : Ilford ID11 (1+1) for 13 minutes
    Negative scanned and tone added via PSP

    the grain really adds to this – its fheckin Kodak HIE film for gods sake :shock:

    lovely shot tex, great to see some film photography shots being posted . . . for a change.

    :oops: Digital man……. no experience with Film…..still in my humble opinion the noise is a tad too much especially at the bottom of the pic.

    Thanks for your comments guys. I must admit Adrian, I thought that you were taking the p–s out of me with your remark about the ‘noise’. But just to fill you in, all film has grain, but none more so than Kodak HIE Infrared film which is one of the many reasons it appealed to analogue users. Unfortunately the film is no longer available , a sad loss to all of us that loved it.

    Hi Tex,

    Love the effect the film creates. I don’t know what you think yourself but I think it might be better without the top cloud cropped out.. It may leave it a little bit unproportinal sky / foreground but looks nice on the monitor here.
    I think it’s that sort of grain that really got me to purchase a film camera. Very nice indeed.

    A lovely picture taken on a lovely film. I love the grain this film gives.
