    Hi Mr. Sligo,

I like the details captured here. I like the idea of the shallow depth of field, but I think it’s a bit too shallow. I also think you’ve done a great job or arranging the food on the plate. It’s looks good.

I quite like the lighting here but feel it’s a bit hot in places. I’m guessing, but did you use direct flash here? A soft box or diffuser may have helped you out here. (Maybe now you’ll tell me you used a soft box and I’ll look like a fool :) )

Also, I don’t like the angle at all. Maybe I’m wrong and all the pros put things at angles like that, but it looks like the steak’s going to slide off the plate.

One more thing – there’s something funny going on with the chilli. The bottom couple of centimetres of it seem a different colour and seem askew from the rest of the chilli. Is this a characteristic of the lens I wonder, or the post processing, or is is a characteristic of my eyesight and imagination?

Sorry that most of my comments are negative. Hope the feedback is of some help.

    Hi Alan
    :):)

Yes i used softbox’s as main light and some of direct light for my shooting table. Yes i used on this particular shot f2.0 because nowadays its only one way how you can sold your job, people like it. I have a photos with a f 5.6 or higher they are really rich in details, but hard for sale:(
Thx, colour of chili is different , i did not recognise it so far, but now i see it, it is couse light line is going trought, PS can help:)
Job on making a food and arranging is my wife passion , so i will say her a worm word from you:) It seems like she make better work than me:).
    Thx for your comment.
