SetantaBParticipant
Ok, so my fourth weekend shoot/visit to Cork/Kerry in about 18 months, and I’ve yet to see any sun.
My question for those of you in the far Southern extremities – is it not time to bring the great bord-failte conspiracy to an end?!?!
No matter who I talk to or at what time, about the abismal bucketing-down weather, by amazing coincidence doesn’t every reply include the phrase: ” sure wasn’t it lovely all week untill now”.
I believe a tribunal is called for to investigate the blatant mis-representation of bord failte to us poor tourists, in the portrayal of the “sunny” south.
Yours, wet and cold,
AlanAlan RossiterParticipantTry the South-East Alan. Far more civilised weather…generally! The rain isn’t too heavy when it does fall and there’s always a pending break in the sky. 8)
Alan eile.
joe_elwayParticipantWas pretty good in the southEAST this weekend too. Was down in the Raven today for a wander and the clouds were pretty nice.

Should’ve given us a shout Aidan
Patnfl-fanParticipantAgree with Alan.. it’s not the “Sunny South” it’s the “Sunny South East”.
That being said I drove into County Tipperary a few years back and was greeted with a sign “Welcome to the Sunny South East”… which I thought was chancing it.
Wednesday just passed was fantastic here in Wexford, best day in 2008 so far. Today wasn’t bad either, it tried to rain on a few occasions, but when the sun burst through it was glorious.
cathaldParticipantSure you want to come up north we had everything today rain ,sleet ,snow and hail and now its starting to freeze you only think its bad down there.rain between showers is hard to beat!!!
MarkKeymastersteelydanParticipantJust back from Clonakility today and spent most of the good weather in the car with a sick child. Got a few shots yesterday morning but nothing to write home about. Agree with the clouds today looked excellent over the Comeraghs

Ah, the signpost twister strikes again, I believe!
kenhParticipantthe sunny South get it’s name from the brialliant people who live here, rather than from the good weather lol
