Thanks lads, It’s a lot to think about and to be fair I’ve taken some shots with my 250 that I’ve being very happy with.
What annoys me is if I spot something I have a look through the binoculars and it’s something that I’d really love to photograph, pick up the camera and it’s just short of what I need.
Best example is. There’s cliffs I walk along in Kerry during the summer and I can see birds nesting on the shelves below, no need for binoculars, but I can’t get a good picture :?
Hard to know whats best and I can’t spend a small fortune

one guy told me , photography is not expensive hobby is OK and you can see results :) , collecting stamps this is expensive hobby.

So no complains be happy :)

    Piotr M sie ma :)
100-400 have really high price vs quality and Trev have all ready some zoom , so buying another zoom 100-400, 100-300 is waste of money because at the end of day he will be back to primes . I did this same , burn my cash because not listen to another’s.
Prime 400mm 5,6 the best quality vs money .I sold my for 700 EU so look really close on ebay for second hand lens really cheep .

Buying a nice lens has to wait. I’m unemployed now. :(

I agree. Now is a very good time for buying second hand lenses. Recession forced many people to sell their equipment, but not so many are interested in buying.
