Recommendation for BW printing service

    Hi guys,
I’m looking for somewhere that does good, proper black and white printing from digital. I tried photobox.ie but the shot came back with a bit of a pinkish cast. It could be my imagination but I really don’t think it is. I don’t want to go down the road of printing myself just at the moment but I really want to get some shots printed and at a high standard (to match the impecable quality of the photography :D ). Online service or Dublin based shop, either works.
    Thanks

    Cian,

I agree with your observation on photobox.ie for b+w. I wouldn’t use them for b+w, I tend to find I get
a beige cast on them. Colour they’re great, b+w not good at all.

My recommendation would be to use Peak Imaging http://www.peak-imaging.com/ and their
    online service.

Good quality paper (better than photobox). More importantly no colour casts, although a bit more expensive.
You can ask them to ship via a cheaper method also should you wish to.

You can download their upload tool here (near the bottom)

It looks very good, Mark. I’m a bit tired with that famous colour cast (very light I think) on the bw images. Also, the fact that they provide a printer profile and much more detailed info on printing requirement, makes me tend to choose them next time.

Thanks a million for the suggestions lads, I’ll be looking into both of them.
