Nice shot DGH!! I didn’t think these guys ever came out of their tree. First time I’ve seen them, or a shot of them, on the ground. :D
AliParticipantjoe_elwayParticipantRavenAshMemberGood Capture, and great pose.
Interested to know that the panda was up to. Looks ready to pounce on something.joe_elwayParticipantRavenAsh wrote:

A nice juicy branch, maybe.
DJHParticipantthank you all for the comments
The picture was taken in Sept last year when there was a lot of re-work going on in Dublin zoo around the Elephant enclosure, the Red Panda’s were very close to the Elephants. This little guy just popped down from its branch walked around for a minute or 2 and jump back to where he came from … I was just lucky to be there at that time.
I would have like to have take the shot closer to the ground but unfortunately with the Red Panda enclosure it is near impossible to do this with the fencing around it.
Dara.

bethThey’re actually not Pandas or bears… a bit of misnaming by British explorers. They are actually a relative of the Racoon. Also known as the Firecat. Endangered.

Ah, I was wondering! I had seen pictures/drawings of racoons in the past and this looked similar. And yeah, the Firefox logo!!
