Red Panda & Leggy Heron

As you posted 2, I feel it necessary to ‘choose.‘
Number 2 wins by a mile, despite the cuteness of the red panda thingy. Too many branches getting in the way prevent it from being a winning shot, but number 2 doesnt suffer from those problems. Both shots suggest to me that Ali has used her poker winnings to puchase a new toy, ‘cos these were hardly shot with the kit lens??Ross
RobMemberHave to agree with Ross here, number two is fantastic. Wonderfully
sharp and those whites are perfectly exposed. I also love the upward
looking aspect of this shot; makes that bird look positively majestic.
Cracking shot Ali.Rob.
stcstcMemberI like 2 better than one, although i am not that fond of those bird, in my humble opinion they aint that photogenic.
But it does look like you been stealing Noley’s Blue sky, he he
I love watching those red pandas, i have tons of shots of them, and I dont think i yet have one i am happy with, they are a nightmare to shoot.

Just ask Aiden how hard Steve  I thought he was gonna blow his top on Saturday..everytime he moved one way..they moved another…
Lovely shots Ali..and I’ll be different and say I prefer the Panda shot…just cos the face is so sharp and they are so damn cute. Whatever you can say about Heron’s, they aren’t cute…hehe!! Also I appreciate how hard it is to get a decent shot of the Reds, as Steve mentioned already.
AliParticipantThanks a mil guys for the comments
Brandyman – It’s good to choose – makes it easier for me to pick when i’m entering club comps :) I didn’t invest in another lens yet i’m afraid – still using the manual focus lens but i’m getting the knack of it now :). Ironically, it’s worth alot less than my kit lens :?
Rob – Thanks a mill. When i previewed it i was praying to the gods that the eyes would be sharp. :)
Steve – Thanks a mil, i’ll have to go and look to check out Noely’s sky :) . We were blessed with the weather on Saturday.
Robbie – It was hilarious, all of us running around trying to get a shot. I think the best way is to wait and let someone send him over your direction. :) I like the panda shot myself (the broken branch, paw around it and the fact that he really looks comfy – oh if i could only bring him home for snuggles :) )
