Red Sky at Night

    Sorry if its been taken up the wrong way, but the combination of the textures in the image, and the suggestion of canvas
    formed an immediate association in my mind with the use of paint and palette knife.

    As you mentioned, the image has been a long way removed from photography,
    and is more like digital art.

    The filters you have used are quite easily identifiable;
    obviously I shouldn’t have posted a comment about something I know nothing about,
    but the picture was posted in a photography critique forum-

    Looks like an old pic of Cradley Heath Spinman when all the furnaces were going in the 60’s an 70’s.

    Precisely, I was simply making a comment on the PS effects, and I certainly didnt write it in a discourteous manner as alleged (as I have confirmed to you in a PM, and which I think you accept). I can see how it might work as an abstract or ‘arty’ image on canvas but it is just not my cup of tea.

    All comments are appreciated Brandyman. No one’s work is everyone’s cup of tea.
