Reference book for symbols and objects in art

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could recomend a book on symbols and objects in art the language of flowers, peacocks indoors being unlucky etc etc

I am thinking more along the lines of a dictionary rather than a huge essay what i want is something i can use to give me inspiration :) dont we all

Any suggestions appreciated… nice ones that is :P

Maybe not exactly what you are after, but two very useful little books I reference a lot

Both will have bits about symbolism in Art. Handy and interesting little books to have around.
