Reflections and None

Over a time I had been collecting photos of flowers etc with these reflections… this is the latest. But am also including one without reflection… For some reason I like the different view, and the crispness of it. The one thing that bugs me about it though is that the stamen is not in focus in it. What do you think?

I like both of them as each has it’s own charm. I prefer #1 but I think the top is a little dark. The water works very well with these. Well done.

Definitely the first, nicely lit, except for a slight lapse into shadow at the top-

Compositionally, I think it’s a bit tight at the top too,
some more space above the petal would have helped the balance,
and made it appear less cramped…

I think it might be a bit too saturated,
reducing the saturation might bring out more of the delicate,
rather than the showy side of the flower-

I like the reflection, and the droplets…

Thanks JB! I did think it was cramped too, but I had to rotate it slightly to make it level, and the flower filled the frame so much that in doing so I ended up having to crop a little tighter than I’d like.

I think I might have another bash at it tonight (there are some flowers left over :P ) maybe try and get it nicely symmetrical this time :P

I like the first too. A reflector at the top will do the trick I guess. Well done

#1 for me too Meghan, this is a really lovely image.

    Beautiful indeed,

The first is very well composed and a slight tweaking of the lighting
would just finish them off perfectly

    Well done

#1 for me too, a little extra breathing space and slightly more light for the top petal (not too bright) and you have a great image

    Very nice Megan…

The first is beautiful, though as has been mentioned, a little more
space at the top would really set this off…
