Registration for Ebay.ie
-
PaddysnapperParticipant
Now you lads are an intelligent crowd, can you tell me how to register with Ebay Ireland, the form insists on a valid postcode which we don’t have, I have tried the old trick of putting in the Belfast sorting office BT1 1AA but it won’t allow that. You may just be able to restore my sanity!
Alan RossiterParticipantI’ve always put in 00000 or the last 5 digits of my phone number. It’s never failed me yet.
PaddysnapperParticipantI’ve just tried both options, still no joy!..”you must enter a valid postcode”..Fume!
AedanCParticipantPain in the neck isn’t it? I have used “None” regularly in the past on other sites and it’s worked. It’s amazing that it’s happening on a .ie site though.
Aedan
miki gParticipantAlways used either NONE or 0000 without a problem on any site. I have heard someone on local radio mention that a GPS co-ordinate works too.
PaddysnapperParticipantThanks for all suggestions lads, NONE incl. None have been accepted, I think Ebay.ie can go hang!
AedanCParticipanttsergairlMembertry a combination with dash
ieg:00-000 (that combination worked for me)
or
go there
http://www.myloc8ion.com/” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;and find Your postal code :-)
Chris
PaddysnapperParticipantIt’s still not working……God I hate this, because it’s my nature not to give in. I still don’t get it! Why should a .ie site require british style postcodes?..I am going to persist with this even though I might well end up in the Central Mental Hospital! :?
MarkKeymasterPaddysnapperParticipantDermot1Participanthad the same problem a few years ago and mailed them they set the account up for me I just gave them the details, had a friend tell me recently she tried buying a text book from an Irish owned and run site that would only accept transactions in U.S dollars, figure that one out.
PixelleMemberAre there any solutions to this yet? I’ve tried my Loc8 code and various random letters/numbers with no success.
PixelleMemberPaddysnapperParticipantSolution: E-bay told me to put zero in the postcode box, this is illustrated in brackets (0) I’m pleased to say it works.
