#3 is really great, I love it
#2 is very good,
#1 is ok (but I really like the art on the right, is it Miro?, perhaps all the art works are of of the same style)
In #3 the play on light and the perspective compression (if that’s a good way to describe it) really makes this shot.
#1 is perhaps missing a snoozing curator, I think a definitive focus point is lacking. But I could see how other would disagree.
Thanks Martin. For #1 I composed so that the edges led to an intersection of thirds, where the chair is – I then added a vignette to emphasise the chair further. I liked the grey/white tones throughout the image broken slightly by the pictures. There were lots of Miro and Picasso works, so I’m not sure which these actually are.
Agree with Martin that 2 & 3 are the better of the bunch. I think that 2 may work better as a portrait crop – removing the framing walls? #1 doesn’t quite work for me either as it doesn’t feel balanced. I wonder whether putting the chair dead centre may have helped.. maybe not as the large picture on the right will always dominate?
