    Hi sabre,

    I am assuming you have an image and you want to print it at 10” x 8”.

    This will involve cropping the image and setting a resolution for it.
    This is pretty straightforward with any version of Phototoshop or Elements.

    I was going to type out the steps but then I remembered that Digital Photo magazine had
    some pretty good video tutorials and I found this one which might be of help.
    The important tools will be very much the same with your version of PSE but some of the features, like
    saving a new crop setting, will not be available to you

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6813ppRd_9I” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;

    I also found a nice, I think anyway, explanation of the difference between cropping and resizing here:
    http://www.mcpactions.com/blog/2011/05/09/understanding-cropping-vs-resizing-in-photography/” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;

    Here is a quote from the blog:
    “Most digital photographers have to grapple with the difference between cropping and resizing at some point. I keep the two straight this way:

    Cropping is for when you need to recompose a picture (crop out something to get rid of it or change the focal point) or for when you need to make a picture fit a certain size paper.

    Resizing is for when you need to make the picture “weigh” less for uploading to the internet, or for making it fit a certain digital space (like a blog).

    It’s not uncommon to use both cropping and resizing on an image.”

    I hope this helps.
    If not just ask again.

    All the best,

    John.

    Hi saber,

    From what I know you can either crop and lose some of the photo or do a resize to keep the whole photo and create distortion.

    Cheers,

    John.
