brendancullenParticipantHi Deebo – there are 9 customer reviews on that Amazon link. They should give you an idea of its cababilities.

miki gParticipantHi Deebo.
I’ve recently seen a guy using a ringflash adapter in which it connects to the lens & your existing flash unit. This was also a cheap alternative & offered a lot more control using the power reduction function of your original flash unit.( He was using it with a Canon flash unit.) Maybe you can find it by Googling ringflash adapter.

some samples with this ring:cheers
ChrisDeeboParticipantcheers all and thanks for your input. For 40quid it does seem to do the job fine
Might just be a stop gap for the rest of the summer months whilst I get to grips with my macro lens. I may then decide to buy a better flash.
Cheers all and good weekend,

As you say Deebo a stop gap, until I win the lotto that is!! So I guess now I’ve just got to find time to give it a go :)

Just make sure the diameter match you lenses.
there are 5 or 6 changeable rings from 48 to 67 mm so the lamp will fit to most popular lenses :-)
